Special eyes

My eyesight is definitely getting worse as I am almost having to sit with the Trumpets now to read the dots!. So I thought I would go into town and have my eyes tested. Seems that somewhere in this plan I was talked into having new frames and a pair of sun glasses. The ironic thing is, after I had said yes, I then had my eyes tested, and they hadn't changed!!! When you try new frames on , and you are shortsighted, how do you know what they look like on you? I had to depend on 3 complete strangers in the shop to tell me. If they did not laugh, then I presumed they looked ok? For all I know the frames could be pink and glittery!!! I am sure my friends will let me know the truth.
