Around the World

I was at an 80th Birthday part for a well known local musician last night. The room was packed with his old friends and invited musicians. Inside the room it was like an oven but at 80 this guy still got up to play some remarkable jazz. It was unfortunate that later into the evening this chap took poorly and an ambulance had to be called. He is ok, but I know he was upset. Parties can be stressful at the best of times, and when it is your own ,you feel honour bound to try and talk to everyone. Add to this the the stress of playing in an unhealthily hot room and it is no wonder he felt ill. He is ,and always will be a stalwart of the music world.
