One Man Band
One of the great motivators for practicing, is playing along to a CD that has a full orchestra, but with the solo line missing. With a good imagination, and a device called Silent Brass you can almost imagine you are sitting in the Band. It puts it into perspective though, when you listen to the experts play the piece, Trombonists like Mark Nightingale,Dale Cheal and Jack Whigam (who are all phenomenal players) just how much more you have to learn to be able to play like that. I reckon if I make it to 129 then I may be up to the Jimmy Edwards standard? or maybe Douglas off the old Lurpak ad's!!!
